So if you could ..... Would you ?

So if you could would you choose to live in Britain’s top price areas of the country?

The streets of the Royal Borough of Kensington with their mix of modern architecture and classic architecture are according to new research the most expensive residential streets in the UK.

It has a lot going for it with close proximity to fashionable shops and top end restaurants.  Egerton Crescent in Kensington is currently the most expensive street in the UK with the average property price of £8,136,000.
House prices in central London rose last year with strong interest from overseas buyers however there has been intimation that the 7% stamp duty rate on homes in excess of £2million may cause the market to cool.
Wombling in Wimbledon Common
While the Wombles might inhabit Wimbledon Common, Parkside which skirts Wimbledon Common is the second most expensive street  in the UK averaging £5.2million for a property.
Camden Hill Square in the centre of London’s Holland Park being Britain’s most expensive street last year came in third this year averaging £4.9million.
Further Afield
Further afield from the Capital most expensive streets include Woodlands Road in Virginia Water Surrey where a home averages £3.2million and Leys Road in Leatherhead Surrey where a home price tag is £3million.
Outside of the South Park Lane in Altrincham south of Manchester carries a home price tag of £2.1million.
Streets in the ‘Golden Triangle’ between Harrogate, Wetherby and North Leeds will set you back £1.1million with Rutalnd Drive in Harrogate one of the most expensive streets.
Many of the most expensive streets in the North East are in Newcastle in the areas of Jesmond and Gosforth with price tag of £1,124,000.
The most expensive street in Wales is Druidstone Road in Cardiff averaging £682,000.
No surprises that London price tags are the highest but other areas in the UK demonstrate high price tags but not always the assumed North to South divide.
