Midsummer Night’s Dream

A dream best kept for sultry summer evenings or a reality – a can do!  Before you launch into the world of investing in bricks and mortar pause take a step back and cogitate first.

This little light of yours
This little light of yours are you gonna let it shine?
  • Monday gave you the seed of thought.
  • Tuesday gave you a myriad of thoughts to ponder.
  • Wednesday told you to have more faith in your ideas and ignore the headache digesting all the information.
  • Thursday the light appeared at the end of the tunnel.
  • Friday tells you keep on trucking.
  • Saturday says you have arrived at the crossroads.
Sunday gives you power divine to let your light shine and go forward with your seed now rapidly germinating out of the darkness into light.
David Jordan Estate Agents can let that light shine and bring your seed to life in the sun and suggest the following considerations before investing in bricks and mortar.
Does it stack up?
Affordability when considering buying an investment property is crucial. It is important to buy within your means and particularly true if the property may be unoccupied at any stage. You still need to be able to afford the mortgage repayments.  Can you meet all other costs with an investment property and still maintain your current standard of living?  There is a need to factor in for repairs or replacements such as heating systems, hot water etc.
Learning about the property market education is key and David Jordan Estate Agents is on call for just such advice.   You can also read magazines and newspapers and gain an understanding of prices and what’s selling in your area.
Consider vacancy rates in your area. Location can also influence vacancy rates, areas with good access to shops public transport schools and employment opportunities can increase demand for rental property.
Last but not least......
